Character: Richard
Series: Tales of Graces f
Character Age: 20
Canon: Once there were a group of friends who made a promise to change the world together, but after the tragic death of a friend they were forced to part ways. Faced with a looming threat against the world's survival, they're reunited seven years later. Each of them carried emotional baggage of their own, but they managed to overcome their differences regarding the past and saved the world through the power of friendship - or so they thought. Later on, another threat arises to endanger the world, this time monsters that are able to mutate and grow stronger. It's up to this group of childhood friends to band again once more to save the world.

One of those childhood friends, Richard, is the monarch of the kingdom of Windor. Charming, refined, courteous and possessing an overall pleasant demeanour, Richard wants nothing more than to bring peace to his country. He feels personally responsible for the state of the world, and chooses to atone by spearheading the monster eradication team as well as assuming his country's enormous war debts. As far as most people are concerned, he's a true royal catch. However, with the few people Richard considers his friends, he's willing to confide in them and behaves more jovially - he'll tell a joke with a straight face, he can be silly with his teasing, and he'll even offer dating tips on how to be a proper gentleman.

So here it is. The lost lands of Cee'eef Yu'dee. I must admit, I was surprised and skeptical when you arrived bearing Lady Sayre's missive. After all, I have never heard of this place before. Not to mention that it isn't everyday that a colorful bird from an unknown land flies into my study to speak to me about their mistress' wish to form an amiable bond between our two countries as you have. It made me curious as to the type of leader Lady Sayre was, therefore it was only natural that I would accept the offer to travel to meet her in person.

Now, it has been some time since I last left court for an impromptu adventure. However, our journey here was quite the unique experience, wouldn't you say? We traveled together through the perilous swamp, evading undead monsters and dangerous plants alike. You even distracted the tentacled monster, allowing me to escape certain danger at your own expense. It was a noble sacrifice which touched me deeply. Through these trials, I believe it is suffice to say that the two of us now share a bond of kinship. So as your friend, might I impart upon you a little advice?

When I tended to your wounded wings after our unfortunate encounter at the lake, there was a name you kept repeating - "Marcy, Marcy . . ." Perhaps it is presumptuous of me, but could it be that is the name of your paramour? Ah, there's no need to be shy! I'm simply trying to give a little nudge, if you will, to help a friend in their romantic endeavor. While I may not be experienced in the affairs of the avian heart, I imagine it isn't so different from those of humans. Might I ask if you have made your intentions known? No, of course you haven't. In any case, I implore you to make that your first priority. If she isn't interested, it would be unfortunate, but I have no doubt that a brave bird such as yourself will be able to find someone new. However, if she is receptive towards your initial advance, then you must remember to be courteous. Make sure you give her all the attention and respect a bird of her stature deserv—

. . . Oh, 'Marcy' isn't another bird, but actually the one we faced at the lake? Well then. It may seem unconventional but what is love without a few obstacles? If you truly adore her then I don't see why you couldn't still court her. You only live once, after all! Therefore, if I could be here giving advice to a bird while on a journey for peace in an unknown land, then there is no reason the love between a kraken and a bird couldn't come to pass. Which is to say, go forth, my winged friend. Seize the day!
